Toenail Fungus Listerine Treatment Cure

Listerine is yet another home remedy cure that some boast will cure your toenail fungus. Primarily used as a mouthwash, it is hard to imagine that this method would actually work. However, there has been some reports that this method can in fact cure your toenail fungus, although I’m not putting any money on it. Don’t get me wrong, I love Listerine, as a mouthwash, but I am not so keen on bathing my toes in it.
People tend to opt for this method as it may seem cheaper compared to expensive laser treatment and I would agree with them if I thought it worked. I am not sure it is a cheaper option given the price of Listerine these days and how often you have to bath your toes in it.
One of the biggest problems with this method is the fact that you have to allocate at least 30 – 60 minutes per day soaking your toe in a Listerine bath. The problem with that is that there aren’t too many people who have the time or energy to diligently do this each and everyday for as long as two to three months at a time.
This in my opinion this is where the method fails.
Nevertheless, if you wish to try this method over the next 3 months then here is how you apply it. It is pretty simple really. All you do is soak your infected toenail in Listerine for up to 30 minutes, twice a day for up to 2 – 3 months, or until the fungus disappears. Listerine is a fairly safe product to use so you really can’t do yourself any harm.
How Listerine Might Work
Although, not scientifically proven, it is thought that the alcohol found in Listerine creates an antiseptic like environment, which in turns kills the fungus.
If you combine both Listerine with apple cider vinegar together then this concoction has a stronger effect on killing the fungus as the vinegar is acidic in nature. Now this combination may work better in my opinion.
